Curves Workout Tips

The Curves workout utilizes unique hydraulic machines that were designed especially for women. There are a few key points to keep in mind when using these machines in order to maximize your workout.

  • Proper technique is essential. Pay attention to your form to ensure that you are working the correct muscle groups on each machine.

  • Make sure that you work each muscle through its FULL range of motion – don't stop halfway to get more reps in.

  • Work for your maximum repetitions each time you are on a machine. The harder you push the more resistance the machine will generate… it's like an endless stack of weights. Look for the rep cards placed by each machine to provide you with a goal to aim for.

  • Pay attention to your heart rate. Keeping within your target heart rate zone provides you with maximum fat burning capacity.

  • Go easy on the recovery pads. The goal of these pads is to keep your heart rate consistent, but allow you time to “recover” so you can give it your all on the next machine!
