Q: How can I get more out of my workout; I feel like it's not hard enough?
A: The Curves workout is designed to provide as intense a workout as you desire. The best news about using the Curves equipment is that it will give you back as much resistance as you demand of it. So if you feel like you're not getting a hard enough workout, it likely means that you are not pushing the machines hard enough! These machines have been tested on NFL football players. Not only was it one of their most intense workouts, they couldn't believe you can complete a full body workout in just 30 minutes! We have also just added personal coaching sessions, where one of our staff will take you through the workout and show you ways to intensify it. Just ask at the front desk next time you're in!

Q: If the Curves workout is only 3 times a week, what else can I do on my off days?
A: Because you are activating muscle tissue in the strength training portion of the workout, you will want to allow a day in between to rest your muscles. Therefore on your off days, the best activities would be some form of cardiovascular exercise like walking, jogging, aerobics, hiking, cycling or using a stairmaster or treadmill.

Q: What makes your gym different from another Curves gym?
A: Each Curves franchise is individually owned and operated, so not all Curves are the same. At our Curves, we are very unique! Q: What else can I do to reach my ideal body weight and maximize the inches I lose?
A: One of the biggest problems we run into is a situation where a woman consistently works hard for 3 months and minimal inches and weight are lost. Most often when we ask that person what she is eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner ... the answer boils down to carbs, carbs, carbs. If you really want to maximize your results, you have to reduce the amount of sugar in your diet. Too much sugar or simple carbs will trigger insulin to store fat in your body. So if you want to maximize your results, reduce your carb intake!

Q: Why should I choose Curves over another 30 minute circuit gym?
A: First of all, Curves is the largest fitness franchise in the world! In fact it is the second largest franchise in the world! Its success has been completely built on its reputation of delivering fantastic results. Only Curves machines are ergonomically tested and specifically designed for the female body. Q: Is it important that I take vitamins during the Curves workout program?
A: Unfortunately, due to over utilization and under fertilization of our soil, today's vegetables are severely deficient in vitamins and minerals. A process that once required months of growth is now only taking weeks, with the use of growth hormones, pesticides and herbicides. There is simply not enough time to allow the essential minerals and vitamins to be absorbed into the plant. Therefore, we must use supplements to ensure our body gets the right tools to perform optimally. Lacking proper amounts of vitamins and minerals is like running a car on 3 cylinders ... there's no power and energy! If you need help, just ask one of our educated staff to get you the right type of vitamins.

Q: I have worked out for years, do I still have to come to the "Curves Orientation Class?"
A: Even though you may be a workout expert, the class is given by one of the owners, a doctor specializing in fitness and nutrition. This class will give you the tools to maximize your results at Curves.
