What Do I Eat On the Curves Program?
By Dr. Jeff Bartlett
What
should I eat on the Curves program? This is by far the most common
question that gets asked to our staff! And so it should be. So often
we hear about someone who has been working out for 3 months and hasn't
lost inches, only to find out that they have been eating carbs, carbs,
carbs! So why is it that carbs are getting the bad wrap? It is, because
of the simple fact that carbs turn to fat! As soon as sugar enters
the blosod stream, the chemical insulin is released to reduce your
body's blood sugar. Unfortunately, insulin is a fat storage chemical
and given enough time, insulin will turn that bread, rice, pasta and
potatoes into fat and store it in those unwanted places.
So if you want to maximize your results by loosing more inches and
weight, we have to push away the carbs. Does that mean all Carbs? No,
just the simple or refined carbs like breads, pastas, potatoes, rice,
sugar, popcorn, sugary fruits, and juices high in fructose. The very
best source of carbs is vegetables high in fiber, fruits that end in
berry (raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, cranberry etc).
If you are ready to take action and are running out of options on
food we have to solution. We are excited to announce that our team
has recently opened a Low Carb Superstore located on the backside of
Westgate Mall. The store was triggered by such an alarming request
from all of our Curves members for a low carb grocery store. It opened
in April and is now ready to serve the public especially all Curves
members. It is essentially a grocery store offering all your favorite
foods in a low sugar formula!

We feel it is a big step in reducing the amount of sugars our society
consumes and will work synergistically with the recommendations from
the Curves workbook. Please come in to see our store and try one of
our many free samples. Remember to bring your Curves workout tag because
we are giving a 5% discount that is exclusive to Curves members only.
So remember, if you are not progressing as quickly as you would like
from your results at Curves, look at the amount of carbs you are eating
daily. We personally guarantee if you reduce the simple carbs and sugars
out of your diet and choose foods that have a reduced sugar formula,
you will reach your goals quicker than you ever have imagined!
