Maximizing Your Workout
By Tammy Bartlett

Sometimes our staff gets asked the question, "I feel as though the workout is not hard enough!" And we say "IMPOSSIBLE!" As many of you already know, the principles behind hydraulic machines are "what you put in is what you get out." In other words, if you are feeling as though your workout is not tough anymore, that means one of two things. One, you are not pushing hard enough or two, through previous workouts, you have built more strength and therefore what used to push you isn't pushing you anymore... Congratulations, push harder!

Curves tested their workout on NFL team members, requesting them to perform maximum reps at maximum speed. After trying the equipment, not only did they say it was one of the hardest workouts they have ever tried, they were amazed on how the program accomplished a full-body strength training workout while simultaneously accomplishing a cardiovascular workout all in just 30 minutes! Hey, if it is tough enough for NFL players, it must be tough enough for you.

If you are still wondering how to maximize your curves workout, remember these tips:

  1. The goal on the machines is to complete as many FULL RANGE repetitions as fast as you can while still maintaining your target heart rate. The more muscle you activate, the more you raise your metabolism and therefore, the more fat you melt away throughout the day! Please read "Ask the Doctors" to find out why it is essential to maintain your target heart rate to maximize your results.
  2. If you are wondering what the maximum repetitions are for each machine, just ask and one of our team members can provide you with that.
  3. And if that's not enough, we are so committed to making your workout as hard as you can imagine that we have put aside time for one-on-one consultation on a per request basis. Just ask for one of our “personal coaching sessions" and one of our staff will be glad to set you up although now that you have been warned...BE PREPARED!
